Photograph of a portrait Frederick Prince of Wales as Prince of Wales in the National Portrait Gallery. Whole length, pictured with his sisters Princess Anne of Orange, Princess Amelia and Princess Elizabeth Caroline. Prince of Wales sits in the centre playing the cello. To the left he is accompanied by Princess Anne at the harpsichord and Princess Caroline on the mandora. A small dog looks on and a building can be seen through the background window. One of three c.1733 paintings by Philippe Mercier titled 'The Music Party' (NPG 1556). Both the National Portrait Gallery and National Trust versions are set outdoors, while the version in the Royal Collection Trust's version (RCIN 402414) is set indoors.
