Description

Mezzotint of Princess Anne of Orange as princess royal. Three quarter length, standing with jewels in curled hair, brocade gown, jewelled bodice, and mantle. With right hand at waist and left hand resting on coronet. Second state with altered inscription. English inscription below, including details of the original portrait, 'Done from the Original Painting of Mr. Phil: Mercier Principal Painter to his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales which Her Majesty Presented to the Right Honble. the Earl of Grantham.' Borders trimmed.
