Description

Engraving of James II as Duke of York. Whole length as a youth, with long hair, lace collar and mantle with Garter star on left shoulder. Standing with left hand by sword and right holding mantle. With the coat of arms of Orleans below. With French inscription below, but without full lettering, for proof see RCIN 602776 and for a later state see RCIN 602778. Borders trimmed. Plate from 'Galerie du Palais Royal' (1786 -1808).
