Description

Engraving of Charles II as king. Bust length with armour, plain cravat and order on chain around neck. With oval border of laurels and with Latin inscription and coat of arms below. With English verses below, 'Could Hannibal, and Scipio in whom....' Plate from Thomas Ross' translation of 'The second Punick war between Hannibal, and the Romanes' (1661-1672).
