Engraving of Charles I as king. Half length with long hair, beard, brimmed hat with jewelled band, lace collar, doublet, order on a ribbon around neck, and mantle with Garter Star over right shoulder. With English inscription below. Portrait surrounded by the 'Pious Instructions', a set of texts supposedly found in a black ebony frame in the closet of Charles I. With publisher's address below, 'London, Printed for G. Sawbridge in Little Britain. 1717.' For a later impression, cut down, see RCIN 601775.
