A Kuwaiti shamshir (sabre) and scabbard. Hilt of gilt copper (?) with a bone () grip. The curved pistol grip has three chains with a central gold sovereign attached between pommel and cross-guard. Gilt-metal scabbard with two suspension rings. The scabbard decorated with an applied dhow motif and chased floral, foliate and wave design.
