Collotype of the Westminster Portrait of Richard II, King of England. Whole length with crown, embroidered robes, and ermine mantle, pictured seated on a throne holding sceptre in left hand and orb in right. With English inscription below.
The portrait of Richard II dating from the 1390s, is one of the earliest examples of a portrait of a British monarch, and was heavily restored in 1732 and 1866.
