A Chinese porcelain dish painted with an all-over design of exotic multicoloured blooms intertwined with leafy sprays with gilt details. One of seventeen pieces which remain from a matching dinner service comprising a small octagonal tureen with boar’s-head handles and cover with ram’s-head knob and stand (RCIN 58998); a sauceboat with fluted sides and loop handle (RCIN 58997); a deep octagonal dish (tureen stand(?) (RCIN 59352); two dishes of diminishing size (RCINs 58999 and 59351); eight plates (RCINs 58995.1-8); and three soup plates (RCINs 58996.1-3).
