Plateau de pot à oille 1763

Sèvres soft-paste porcelain tray for a tureen. White ground, sparsely gilt and painted in polychrome with scattered sprays of flowers. The pierced shell shapes forming the handles are partly striated with a batwing motif in deep cobalt blue. Blue and gold lines run round the outer and inner edge of the border, the former seemingly entwined with a double gold ribbon.
