A set of seven Marcolini period hard-paste porcelain bowl, moulded in relief with fluting and floral stems. Interspersed around the edge are four gilt rococo cartouches containing blue camayeux floral sprays. Painted at the centre is a vignette of polychrome birds in a tree, in a landscape. The whole piece is finished off with a gilt edge.
Provenance
Part of a similarly decorated dinner service acquired by George IV and first recorded in the Royal Collection in an inventory of the Royal Pavilion, Brighton
