A large silver gilt cup & cover. Domed cover with large knop finial & engraved with Royal crest with Garter & crown. Plain cup with reeded leaf-capped scroll handles, single reeded girdle, short stem & domed stepped foot; engraved with Royal coat of arms.
Provenance
Presented to Sir Thomas Munday, Mayor of Oxford, as his fee for acting as Under Butler at the Coronation of George III, 1761. Probably acquired by Queen Mary.
