A pair of large silver-gilt ginger jars, each with domed cover with acanthus bud finial, embossed with flowers and butterflies, and pierced with roses and fleurs-de-lis. The jar has an acanthus and reeded rim and is elaborately embossed with rocaille scrolls, flowers and shells.
Provenance
The jars were purchased by George IV in 1829 for £390.
