The centre of the dish is gadrooned and has a cyrllic inscription, which translates as, 'To Their Imperial Majesties on the day of the holy Coronation. From the employees and workers of the laipdaries of Kolyvan 1896'; the rim is applied with green marble interlacing and four medallions depicting '1896', a double-headed Imperial eagle and the arms of the lapidaries of Kolyvan.
The large dish is a rare example made from hardstone, rather than the usual silver.Provenance
