An Irish silver two-handled cup with leaf-capped, double-scroll handles, inscription 'The Reward of Industry' and crest of the Ingham family of Blake Hall, Mirfield, Yorkshire. Anne Brontë worked as a governess for this family between 1839 and 1840. Anne drew on her experiences at Blake Hall while writing Agnes Grey.
