An oval or navette shaped jasperware plaque, pointed at both ends, in dark blue dip with white low relief of a classical swag above two female figures, one veiled and holding a vessel, the other in a loose robe holding a wreath in her left hand. In a gold setting with a closed back and suspension ring. The subject of the scene is currently unidentified.
Provenance
First recorded in the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle in an inventory of Wedgwood porcelain dated 1914 - 17.
