An oval jasperware plaque in a brass setting with pierced holes, the plaque in blue dip with white low relief scene of five figures, to the left possibly that of Neptune holding a trident, Hygeia pouring a libation on to an altar, the figure of Asclepius to the right of the altar standing next to a child.
Provenance
First recorded in the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle in an inventory of Wedgwood porcelain dated 1914 - 17.
