An oval jasperware plaque of in blue dip set in plain gilt metal bezel with slightly hollwed back and loop attachment, the plaque with white low relief decoration depicting George III facing right, his hair dressed with a laurel wreath tied at the back by a ribbon below a crowned banderole inscribed HEALTH RESTORED.
Provenance
Produced to celebrate George III's assumption of royal duties following his first period of illness, 1789. First recorded in the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle in an inventory of Wedgwood porcelain dated 1914 - 17, this piece recorded as being found by Queen Mary at Windsor Castle.
