An oval jasperware plaque in blue dip with white low relief decoration of Josiah Wedgwood, looking left, wig tied behind, plain coat, white ruffle. 1860, in an upright giltwood frame, the medallion in gilt metal bezel with bombé glass, with suspension ring.
Provenance
Presented to Queen Mary by Lord Esher. First recorded in the Royal Collection in an inventory of Wedgwood porcelain dated 1914-17.
