Description

A watercolour by Stephen Raw of Carol Ann Duffy's poem 'The Crown'. Duffy wrote 'The Crown' for the 60th anniversary of the Coronation, and it was read at the Service of Thanksgiving. The poem celebrates the historic significance of the crown worn by The Queen. The red and purple colours used are those associated with pageantry.
