This medal celebrates the Coronation of King George VI, who was crowned in 1937., The obverse shows a crowned and draped bust of King George VI and the reverse shows a draped bust of his consort Queen Elizabeth. This medal was designed by Percy Metcalfe the English artist, sculptor and designer. He is best known for designing the first set of coins for the Irish Free State.
