This medal celebrates the Coronation of King Edward VII, in 1902. This medal has a joint bust of both the King and his Queen Consort Alexandra. Edward is depicted wearing a crown. On the reverse side of the medal there is an image of Westminster Abbey, with Britannia seated to the right and supporting the Royal coat of arms. The medal was designed by Emil Fuchs who was an Austrian-American artist and medallist from Vienna. He painted portraits of both Queen Victoria and King Edward VII as well as the fashionable society of London and America, especially New York.
