A full-length nude male bronze of a faun depicted with his left arm raised holding a cup and with his right hand holding a stick, wearing classical drapery around his waist and striding to the left. Standing on a yellow scagiola oval marble base, with gilt metal cord, and mounted on rectangular green marble plinth.
Provenance
Bought in 1814 for the Prince Regent. Between May 1816 and July 1824 it was displayed in the Attic Room at Carlton House. Sent to the King's Lodge at Windsor Castle on 14th July 1824. Recorded in the Octagon Room at Windsor Castle by 1918.
