Grand Cross Sash badge of the Guelphic Order in gold suspended from a Hanoverian crown and crossed swords; Maltese cross each tip ending in a gold ball with lions between the arms. In the centre (obverse ): White horse of Hanover on red and green guilloché ground surrounded by the motto NEC ASPERA TERRENT in gold letters in mid-blue enamel, surrounded by green and gold enamel laurel wreath; (reverse) : George III's cypher
