This is one of a group of four enamels representing the surviving daughters of Frederick V, King of Bohemia and Elizabeth, Queen of Bohemia. They appear to have been painted from life around 1650, and are all by the same unknown artist, who presumably worked at the court of Elizabeth of Bohemia in The Hague. Elizabeth was the third child and eldest daughter of Frederick V and Elizabeth of Bohemia. She became Abbess of the Protestant Abbey of Herford.
