This hand-coloured photograph shows Queen Victoria's youngest child, Princess Beatrice, in the white lace dress and wreath of orange-blossom which she wore as a bridesmaid at the wedding of the Prince of Wales to Princess Alexandra of Denmark on 10 March 1863. Although the exact source has not been identified, other photographs of the wedding party were taken by John Edwin Mayall, the most likely candidate for the photographer.
