A bust-length miniature copy taken from the figure of the Duke of York in Sir William Beechey's painting of 'George III at a Review' of 1797 – 8 (O. Millar 1969, no. 660; destroyed in the fire at Windsor Castle, 1992). The Duke of York is shown wearing wearing field marshal's uniform with the ribbon and star of the Order of the Garter. This was one of several copies in miniature after this source completed by Fischer (see also 420205, 420905).
