A pâte-sur-pâte porcelain vase, with a tall neck, two handles in the form of twisted straps and body swelling to base, supported on slender foot; decorated on a dark turquoise ground with low relief pâte-sur-pâte a figure of Queen Victoria, who is flanked by War and Peace, surrounded by genii celebrating the principal achievements of the reign in politics, science, engineering, industry and fine arts. The reverse shows a bust of Prince Albert with representations of the societies of which he was patron. The neck is decorated with a VR monogram with crown, and the socle with polychrome flowers; on a square base with a gilt commemorative plaque.

Presented to Queen Victoria by the Minton porcelain manufacturers to commemorate her Golden Jubilee, 1887.
