Princess Victoria (1863-1950) was one of Queen Victoria's granddaughters, the eldest daughter of her third child, Princess Alice, Grand Duchess of Hesse.
The sitter is shown head and shoulders, facing three-quarters to the left; wearing a pale grey formal day dress trimmed with lace, with the Order of Victoria and Albert pinned to her left shoulder, and a pearl necklace; sky background.
