Portrait of a Young Lady c. 1890-1910
-
Portrait of a young lady wearing a white, high-collared blouse with puffed sleeves; two strings of pearls about the neck, one with jewelled pendant. The fullness of the sleeves suggests a date of c. 1890-1910; before and after that date sleeves became narrower.
The sitter was once thought to be Lady Randolph Churchill (1854-1912).Provenance
