This enamel reproduces a watercolour by Franz Winterhalter. A small two-handled oval wicker basket containing fruit, including pears, apples, and oranges, resting on bed of vine leaves; the basket sits on a red material, posibly velvet; against a white background.

Given to Prince Albert by Queen Victoria on his birthday, 26th August 1855; recorded at Osborne House in 1876
