This painting was presented to Queen Victoria by Captain John R T Fullerton and the captains and officers of the Royal Yachts Victoria and Albert, Alberta and Elfin. Their names are engraved on a copper plate fixed to the stretcher for the canvas. The picture shows the Victoria and Albert, flying the Royal Standard, sailing in choppy seas to the Isle of Wight. Osborne, Queen Victoria's home on the island, is lit up by rays of sunshine in the distance.
