Half-length, facing slightly to the right, head turned slightly to the left, wearing a richly patterned blue silk gown, a brooch of three pendant diamonds at her breast and an ermine-trimmed mantle over her left shoulder; within a painted oval.
Provenance
Probably acquired by George IV; recorded in store at Carlton House in 1816 (no 331) and 1819 (no 242), where a later note identifies the sitter as Augusta, Princess of Wales
