A goose, standing, carved in white quartzite with obsidian head and inlaid obsidian feathers, stained quartzite beak, rose diamond eyes and chased red gold legs.
This sculpture of a goose is executed in a combination of white quartzite and black obsidian, to which a carnelian beak and gold feet have been added. The sculpture is finished with rose diamond eyes. It was purchased from Fabergé's London branch by Queen Alexandra on 13 November 1911 for £16.
