This portrait is probably the 'Rigaud, Portrait of Man in Armour' recorded in Queen Caroline's Bedroom at Kensington Palace in 1818, measuring 2ft 6in x 2ft 1in (76 x 63.5cm) and described as 'Indifferent’. While not by Rigaud, it would seem to be a French work of c.1700.
