One of a pair of oval canvases, depicting Christ (this one) and the Virgin (CWLF 80, 402599) which can be loosely associated with Gerard Seghers, a pupil of Rubens.
The painting appears in Pyne's illustrated 'Royal Residences' of 1819, hanging in the Presence Chamber at Kensington Palace (RCIN 922150).Provenance
