William III is shown at three-quarter-length, standing, facing three-quarters to the right, his head turned half to the left, in armour and holding a baton in his right hand; he wears the riband and collar of the Garter; behind him a Black page holds his helmet, with beyond horsemen.

First recorded at Windsor in 1832; by 1861 in the Queen's Gallery at Hampton Court
