Rectangular frame of red gold; formed by gold and white enamel rods set with pearls and entwined with chased gold floral garlands, pink guilloché sunburst enamel, oval bezel border of pearls with inset photograph of Princess Louise Duchess of Fife, mother-of-pearl back. Princess Louise (1867-1931) was the eldest daughter of Edward VII and Queen Alexandra and in 1899 she married the 1st Duke of Fife. She was created Princess Royal in 1905.
Mark of Viktor Aarne; gold mark of 56 zolotniks and silver mark of 88 zolotniks (1896-1908); Fabergé in Cyrillic characters
