This portrait must date from c. 1660 by its costume. It is roughly in the style of Cornelius Johnson and could depict an English or Dutch sitter. The lady is wearing a blue dress off the shoulder with lace trimming; with several strands of pearls held at the breast with a jewelled pendant on black ribbon, pearl necklace and earrings.
