A bone china equestrian group of Queen Elizabeth II on the horse Centennial, which was a gift from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1973 to mark their centenary, dressed as Colonel-in-Chief of the Grenadier Guards and riding side saddle; on brass inlaid mahogany and ebony stand.
Provenance
Presented to Queen Elizabeth II by the Worcester and Hereford Branch of the Grenadier Guards Association to commemorate fifty years as Colonel-in-Chief, 1992. David Fryer worked at Worcester and Boehm before establishing himself independently.
Centennial was presented to Queen Elizabeth II from a group of geldings in Canada in 1973, and remained there for further schooling until May 1977 when he was presented at Windsor Castle. -
