Pair of jars and covers. Ovoid potiche, with fluted sides tapering to a projecting foot; short neck; and domed cover, with spreading rim and pointed knob. Painted round the sides are chrysanthemum, prunus and peony flowers growing by rocks, and round the shoulder, a band of radial panels with peonies and chrysanthemums, or with a paulownia motif in red reserved on a blue ground. A chrysanthemum scroll border encircles the neck, and the cover is painted to match.
