Photograph of a full-length portrait of Alexander Yorke facing the viewer and smiling. He wears regency costume including a top hat and holds a watering can in his right hand. He is pictured standing against a painted backdrop that depicts the inside of a house.
On the 2nd June 1894, Queen Victoria later recorded in her journal that she watched 'the most droll little play Mr "Pilly Caddy" [sic] in one act, [that] was performed Mr Yorke was simply killing, Major Legge very good & Ethel C. excellent, as the Maid of all work...Little Beatrice was charming in her one little scene, which Mr Yorke prepared for her.' -
