Photograph of two men in the foreground, possibly Keepers from the Balmoral Estate, standing next to large boulders with the Dhu Loch to the right. One man leans against a large boulder in left side profile, as he looks through a telescope whilst the second man kneels in right side profile, facing the loch. The Dhu Loch is a reservoir serving the town of Rothesay in Argyll and Bute in Scotland. This photograph is from a portfolio of 42 photographs taken by Wilson that were used to illustrate a book featuring entries from Queen Victoria's journals, written during her visits to Scotland. Leaves from the Journal of Our Life in the Highlands, was published to great success in 1868.
