Photograph of the town of Dunkeld in the Perth and Kinross district of Scotland. The photograph was taken from a bridge, part of which can be seen in the right of the foreground. On the left of the background and partially obscured by trees, stands Dunkeld church. To the right stand domestic buildings that border the River Tay.
This photograph is from a portfolio of 42 photographs taken by Wilson to illustrate a book featuring entries from Queen Victoria's journals, written during her visits to Scotland. Leaves from the Journal of Our Life in the Highlands, was published to great success in 1868.Provenance
