A shallow, rectangular games box, with rim flanged for the cover. On the top, a panel painted with a river landscape, with pagodas and other buildings among trees and cliffs, with fishing boats and flying birds, lightly framed within ivy sprays in two tones of gold (partly painted over red), within a narrow border of flower scrolls on a gold ground, and rim border with flower sprays in cartouches on a trellised field set in a ground of similar flower scrolls; the sides decorated to match the outer borders; the interior lacquered black. Inside, one long and two smaller rectangular boxes with tops decorated to match, and plant sprays on their sides.
