Princess Elizabeth's second child, Princess Anne, was born on the 15 August 1950. Princess Anne was taken annually to The Children’s Studio in July in order that Adams could take photographs of the Princess to be released on her birthday in August. These portraits, taken during Princess Anne's second sitting with Marcus Adams, were released to mark the Princess's second birthday.
