Photograph of Princess Elizabeth (b. 1926) now HM Queen Elizabeth II, seated holding the infant Prince Charles (b. 1948) who is standing on the Princess's lap. Both face three-quarters left. This portrait of Princess Elizabeth with Prince Charles was taken during his first sitting with Adams at The Children’s Studio, Dover Street, in London. Prince Charles and Princess Anne became regular visitors to Adams's studio - their sittings were usually in July or October in order to produce birthday portraits. Please note: This is a modern reproduction from an original photograph taken by the photographer on 26 Oct 1949
