Photograph of the Duchess of York (1900-2002), later Queen Elizabeth, seated and holding Princess Elizabeth (b. 1926) now HM Queen Elizabeth II who is standing with one leg on her mother's lap. Both sitters face the viewer. Just three days after their return from Australia and New Zealand, the Duke and Duchess of York and Princess Elizabeth visited Adams's Studio, where photographs were taken of the family reunited.
