Photograph showing a half-length portrait of Princess Margaret, seated, body three-quarters right, head turned to front. She looks directly to front. She wears short-sleeved dress and two-row necklace. The sitting in February 1939 was to be the last before the outbreak of the Second World War in September of that year, and the last to show the Princesses wearing frilly dresses and pretty necklaces.
