Photograph of Grand Duchess Elisabeth Mavrikievna (1865–1927) with her children Prince George Constantinovich (1903-1938) and Princess Vera Constantinovna (1906-2001). Grand Duchess Elisabeth is sitting to the far right wearing a dark dress and hat, a string of pearls and a pendant. Princess Vera is sitting on the arm of the chair to the left, a large bow in her hair. Prince George is standing to the far left wearing a suit. Grand Duchess Elisabeth Mavrikievna was the consort of Grand Duke Constantine Constantinovich. Following the Revolution she left Russia with her two youngest children Prince George Constantinovich and Princess Vera Constantinovna. Initially they lived in Stockholm, where this photograph was taken.
