Photograph of the Rubens Room, Windsor Castle, now known as the King's Drawing Room. The walls are hung with damask fabric There is a large gilt bronze chandelier (RCIN 71784), now at Stormont Castle; various chairs and sofas in different covers. Notable pieces of furniture are: a Boulle writing table in the middle of the room (RCIN 35830); a French writing desk (RCIN 20593). Most of the paintings on the walls are by Rubens. The old Wilton carpet is now replaced by a Persian carpet. The two clearest paintings are by Rubens: The Holy Family with St Francis (RCIN 407674) and King Phillip II of Spain (RCIN 404392).
